The expression of an image

My goal is to encapsulate the full emotional response to my surroundings into the frame

Everything my body & mind experiences from those emotions and all the senses –  smells, sounds, temperature, humidity, wind, the quality of the light, as well as what the mind’s eye both focuses on   and filters out, become part of that experience and directs each click of the shutter.

The tuning and expression of a successful image is through infusing the image with a distillation of the emotional responses.  Often using darker tones helps to convey the richness of the full experience in a way the original exposure does not reflect
